Kein Einband. Zustand: Sehr gut. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Sehr gut. Original silkscreen from the portfolio " Flash - November 22, 1963 ", by Andy Warhol. * Signed by Andy Warhol in pen on the reverse (lower right) * Numbered on the reverse on the lower left. * From a limited edition of only 200. * Inspired by the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the portfolio " Flash - November 22, 1963 " explores the relationship between mass media, public memory and the construction of historical events through printed images. Warhol examines the way newspapers and television transformed a national trauma into a sequence of endlessly reproduced visual symbols. * This particular composition presents a haunting monochrome portrait of John F.Kennedy rendered in Warhol's characteristic screenprint technique. Reduced to black tonal variations and his signature halftone dots, the face becomes both deeply personal. * The Flash portfolio consists of eleven screenprints that combine newspaper headlines, photographic imagery and bold colour to investigate the influence of the media in shaping collective memory. By appropriating images originally distributed through newspapers and television, Warhol blurred the boundaries between journalism, history and fine art. * Printed by Aetna Silkscreen Products, Inc., New York. * Published by Racolin Press, Inc., Briarcliff Manor, New York. * Literature: Feldman & Schellmann, Andy Warhol Prints: A Catalogue Raisonné 1962-1987, II.32. * Sheet size: approx. 53.5 × 53.5 cm. * The work is offered unframed. * Handmade, custom framing is available upon request through our professional framing workshop, offering a wide range of styles, colors, and materials. ** Andy Warhol (1928-1987) is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century and the undisputed pioneer of Pop Art. Through his groundbreaking paintings, screenprints, films and publications, he redefined the relationship between art, celebrity, advertising and mass communication. * His works are represented in the world's leading museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, the Tate Modern, London, the Centre Pompidou, Paris, and The Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh. # Authenticity and provenance guaranteed. # Delivered with a certificate of authenticity. # Worldwide shipping, tax-friendly to the USA and EU countries. # Custom handmade framing available on request.
