DJ shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear/small tears and chips. Wheat cloth boards underneath or clean except for some edge toning. The front board has a long vertical cosmetic flaw in the cloth, which is located near the right edge. The boards also show minor corner bumps. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. Besides the author's inscription there is also a small circled "2" which is written in red pen along the top edge. No other markings found in the book, no remainder marks, nothing torn or loose. Text pages are clean and bright the end pages and pastedowns do show some spotting and foxing. Stated first printing on the copyright page. Signed by Author(s).

Fantastic find! Also has a bonus newspaper clipping of the artist from the Dallas Times Herald dated Sunday, April 11, 2976 "Indians Mesmerize Italian Artist". During World War II he served with the 1st and 9th Armored Divisions and saw service with the 14th Tank Battalion during the Battle of the Bulge and the capture of the bridge at Remagen. After the end of he war he remained in the U. S. Army until his retirement in 1966. He had tours of duty as a Military Attache in Greece, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Good in good dust jacket.
