Corrected with annotations by the author Kathleen Norris with the word "not" penned in by her to the 15th stanza of her poem "Excerpts from the Angel Handbook" (page 32), a checkmark at the top of page 15 and with a whole new stanza penned in by her to replace the first lines in the 3rd stanza of her poem "Space Walk / Self-Portrait". The new stanza reads "To my friends the birds who didn't leave town / this winter / Its better to dream, you go mad / if you don't dream / Some of us are afraid of colors, let alone / hospitals / And hotel rooms where everything has been purified by loneliness". This copy inscribed by Codrescu on the title page, where he has crossed out the word "gun" and has inserted the word "book." So the inscription reads, in effect, "A book for Allen who makes mine.
