Hardback in dustwrapper. 19.5 × 13cm, 177pp. The result of 35 years of research into the soul and the intimate lives of thousands of persons, Draughts of Remembrance defines the seven-year cycles of life and explains how the memories of past lives are experienced through these cycles. The author discusses how the soul, which is the record-bearer of former lives, works with the inner nature of man to blend and coordinate the works of the present life with the unfinished actions of former lives. Also included are 100 mantramic prayers created to help one meet crisis situations, resolve crystallized conditions from former lives, and channel the grace earned in former lives. Condition: The book is in very good condition, the dustwrapper a bit rubbed and marked but good.

Hardcover. Zustand: Near fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: very good. Second printing. 268p octavo, A near fine copy in red cloth following the Kansas City edition of 1916 (per OCLC). A crisp clean copy with mild dust soiling to the spine. In the elusive dust jackt, very good with a few short tears and shallow chips at the extremities. 5 in OCLC. This copy boldly and warmly signed and inscribed by Shapiro on the front free endpaper: "Chicago, III, July 16/33. With greetings of the [acronym difficult to read] Progress, Tea [?] to Gertrude Gilman from Anna R Shapiro 312 Washington Blvd Maywood III" The inscrutable acronym followed by "Progress" is probably a reference to the Chicago World's Fair, whose theme was "A Century of Progress" and which was taking place at the time of the inscription. Small ink notation on the front flap of the jacket. Not in Rideout.
