Cram and Ferguson Architects is an architecture firm based in Concord, Massachusetts. The company was founded as a partnership in 1889 by the "preeminent American Ecclesiastical Gothicist" Ralph Adams Cram and Charles Francis Wentworth. In 1890 they were joined by Bertram Goodhue, who was made a partner in 1895. Frank Ferguson, their structural engineer, was made a partner on Wentworth's death in 1905 making the firm one of the earliest A/E firms. Many of the plates feature churches - exteriors, interiors and details. Other buildings include West Point Military Academy, Wheaton College, The University of Richmond, Princeton University. Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board. Some minor shelf wear and soiling to the boards and spine. Light to moderate foxing to edges and prelims. Minor water stain to the bottom 1-1.5cm of the first half of the book. Otherwise the book is in very good condition with no inscriptions. Previous owner's architectural bookplate to the ffep. Maginnis. The cloth in excellent condition, some pencil and red ink annotation in the text.
