Signed and titled in the plate.Made by 'William Brassey Hole' after own design. William Brassey Hole (Salisbury 1846 - Edinburgh 1917) was a Scottish landscape etcher and painter. Het studied at the Royal Academy Schools in London and began exhibiting there in 1873. He moved to Edinburgh around 1875 and became a member of the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Scottish Watercolour Society.Condition: Very good, given age. Some staining in the margins, and a few faint stains in the top left corner of the image. Faint offsetting from the opposite text page in the book.
