The fragile newspaper is chipped and torn along the edges and in the middle, with a large piece of page 27/28 torn off but present though lacking a small portion of the music and text, and creases from being folded, a fair only copy. Features two songs for voice and piano: "The Irish Rapparees: Specially Arranged for the Weekly Freeman" with words by Sir Charles Gavan Duffy and music by G.L. Murray, and "The Standard of Ireland (Ardharc Na Eire)" with no credits printed. The section also includes stories and poems including, "Dan's Dilemma" by Victor O'D. Power, "The Sprig of Shamrocks" by J.A. Fitzpatrick, "A Teaspoon's Tragedy" by Jane Barlow, "Thoughts of an Irish Felon" by Timothy Ronan, "Pope Pius X" by Mrs. Bellamy Storer, "Ireland's Veils" by Ethel R.
