Wie ein spektakulär illustrierter Zukunftsroman aus seiner Feder mutet auch das vorliegende Buch "Reise zur Stunde Null" der Autoren Igor und Grichka Bogdanov an. Doch die Zwillingsbrüder sind keine Schriftsteller fantastischer Literatur, sondern promovierte Wissenschaftler. Sie überbieten Jules Verne und reisen mit dem interessierten Leser zur absoluten Stunde Null - dem Ursprung des gesamten Universums. Jeder hat schon einmal in die unendlichen Tiefen eines wolkenlosen nächtlichen Sternenhimmels geblickt. 5.000 Sterne können wir mit bloßem Auge erblicken, Abermilliarden gibt es, 200 Milliarden allein in unserer Galaxie. Nach neuesten Schätzungen besteht das Universum aus mehr als 100 Milliarden Galaxien. Man fragt sichIst das Universum endlich? Wenn ja, was ist dahinter? Der erstere ist eine relativ sanfte und gut verständliche Einführung in die Weiten unseres Kosmos, beginnend in unserer eigenen Galaxie, der Milchstraße. Wir fliegen beinahe wie die Besatzung von Raumschiff Enterprise vom Merkur bis zum äußersten Gürtel unseres Sonnensystems und gar weiter darüber hinaus. Wir sehen blaue Zwerge, rote Riesen und kollidierende Galaxien, betreten eisige Steinwüsten, durchfliegen unvorstellbar heiße Gaswolken, planetarische Nebel oder Scheiben aus molekularer Materie und unternehmen sogar einen Abstecher ins Innere eines Schwarzen Loches. Mister Spock alias Igor und Grichka Bogdanov stehen uns dabei als äußerst kompetente und verständliche Reiseführer zur Seite. Spektakuläre Fotografien gebieten beim Lesen fasziniert Einhalt. Obwohl die meisten dieser Fotos am Computer erzeugte künstlerische Darstellungen sind, offenbaren sie trotz alledem ein hohes Maß an Authentizität und wirken niemals kitschig oder unglaubwürdig. Sie bestechen durch eine ausgezeichnete Bildbandqualität. Nach diesem auch für den Laien relativ verständlichen und "sanften" Einstieg drehen die beiden Autoren die Zeitachse um. Wieder zurück auf der Erde fliegen sie nun in die Vergangenheit, erst in die unseres Planeten, dann bis ins Jahr 380.000 nach dem "Big Bang", 13.7 Milliarden Jahre vor unserer Zeit und auch darüber hinaus. Igor und Grichka Bogdanov überspringen die Plancksche Mauer, um sich in das "Davor" zu wagen. Für die Autoren ein Ursuppe aus imaginärer Zeit und einer Dualität aus Energie und Information, in der ein "Quantensturm" tobt und die Raumzeit verzerrt. Hier stößt die Informationsvermittlung für den Laien an seine Grenzen. Es wimmelt von Fachausdrücken und physikalischen Konstanten und Inkonstanten. Da helfen auch die großartigen Computergrafiken nichts mehr. Der nur mit seinem schulphysikalischen Verständnis ausgestattete Leser kann Begriffen wie der euklidischen vierdimensionalen Raumzeit, Instantonen, magnetischen Monopolen und KMS-Zuständen nicht mehr folgen. Trotzdem ist "Die Reise zur Stunde Null" ein spektakuläres und faszinierendes Buch, das dem Interessierten einen wirklich fulminanten Eindruck von den umwerfend neuen Erkenntnissen der modernen Astronomie vermittelt. Allein die 150 großformatigen, farbigen Fotos und Bilder, die jeweils sehr anschaulich erläutert werden, lohne ein Blick ins Buch. Viele passend platzierte Zitate von bekannten Persönlichkeiten, ein Vorwort von Dr. Joachim Bublath und ein Glossar runden dieses äußerst gelungene Werk ab. Fazit"Niemand wird unter einem schlechten Stern geborenmanche verstehen es einfach nicht, den Himmel zu lesen." (Dalai Lama) Mit diesem großartigen Buch von Igor und Grichka Bogdanov, das beinahe ein sinnliches, aber auf jeden Fall ein atemberaubendes intellektuelles Vergnügen ist, fällt es jedenfalls ein bisschen leichter. Igor und Grichka Bogdanov führen uns in ihrem grandiosen Buch in die unermesslichen Weiten des Weltraums, immer weiter zurück in die Vergangenheit - bis wir 13,7 Milliarden Jahre vor heute vor einem großen Geheimnis stehen, dem Geheimnis der Stunde Null. In ausgesprochen gut verständlichen Texten erklären sie, wie das Universum entstand, wie es heute aussieht und wie es sich in Zukunft verändern wird.
