Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. A large hardcover in brown cloth boards. TItle stamped in gilt at the spine with a floral decoration, more decorations stamped to front board. Four volumes bound together as one. Mrs. Ellis's Guide to Social Happiness. Volume one with 184 pages, two with 125, three with 140 pages, and four with 54 pages. Significant foxing to the frontispiece engraving and title page, though remaining text is clean. A sound binding, pages are all intact and attached. The first volume addresses the poetry of rural life, animals, painting and other pursuits, volumes two and three being short novels and the third volume concerns temperance and abstinence.
