Gilt and blind-stamped cloth, a.e.g. Dark splatter stains to cloth, short tear to cloth at the rear joint, dampstain to blank corner of the leaves, not affecting the engravings. A good copy. A book of engravings by a firm established in 1826, from plates made by William Banks, founder. The firm originally specialized in wine labels, books and security work and continues in these areas. William Banks and Son flourished in Edinburgh ca. 1858-1890. A variant of a work of the same title with 26 engraved plates.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. 26 lithographs (prints) within a 13.5 x 22 cm hardback, publisher's brown cloth with gilt lettering to the front cover, and all edges gold gilted. Overall a very good book with minor wear to the extremities and marginal foxing.
