The artist composed especially for this book 16 lithographs in color and 12 in B/w, as well as the cover and the title page. Marc Chagall (1887 1985) was a Russian-French artist. An early modernist, he was associated with several major artistic styles and created works in a wide range of artistic formats, including painting, drawings, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramics, tapestries and fine art prints. First Edition. Text in French language. Ending pages show moisture stains, in general the interior of the book and the lithographs are in good condition, some pages with small moisture stains.
