The master of ceremonies was Chairman Jacob Lehman Hales. 2 - [20.5 cm x 13 cm] Lyric sheet with thirty-seven lines of printed text for the song 'The New School-House' by John Moore. Underneath the title is printed "As sung by the Spanish Fork Choir, at the dedication of the Central School House in Spanish Fork City, Utah, February 8th, 1897." This song is listed as the third item on the program. The dedication was noted in the Deseret News of February 16, 1897 "The New Central School House was dedicated last Tuesday. About five hundred pupils were in attendance from the second to the eighth grade, inclusive. The Central school house is situated three blocks east of the Co-op store, and is a credit to the people of Spanish Fork. It is all complete with the exception of hanging the bell, which has not yet arrived." Both items previously unrecorded. Scarce.
