Schöner Blick über den See auf das Schloß und die Kirche, im Vordergrund eine Frau, die ihr Boot mit einer Stange fortbewegt, im Hintergrund die Alpen. 600 g. Im Blattrand ein Fleck, sonst schönes Blatt.

Sowie mit den weiteren Angaben unten links "W. H. Bartlett", unten rechts mit "R. Wallis" und "London, Published for the Proprietors by Geo. Virtue, 26 Ivy Lane, March 1, 1834" ganz unten mittig versehen. - Malerische Ansicht auf Thun mit Blick auf das Schloss Thun und die Stadtkirche vor dem malerischen Hintergrund der Berner Alpen. Staffage-Figuren auf Booten im Vordergrund auf dem Thunersee vervollständigen die Szenerie. - Im Randbereich leicht gebräunt und minimal stockfleckig. Insgesamt in einem gutem Erhaltungszustand. - - (1809 Kentish Town / London - 1854 bei einem Schiffsbrand vor Malta). Englischer Landschaftsmaler, -zeichner und Stahlstecher, einer der bedeutendsten topografischen Illustratoren seiner Zeit. Zum Zweck der Ansichtenaufnahme bereiste er England, Mitte der 1840er Jahre den Balkan und den Mittleren Osten. 1835-52 weilte er mehrfach in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika. Seine ersten amerikanischen Ansichten wurden 1837-39 im Stahlstich bei George Virtue in London als "American Scenery; or Land, Lake, and River" veröffentlicht. - (1794 London - 1878 Brigthon).
