Colour frontispiece and 11 colour plates mounted on heavy grey paper, black and white illustrations in the text, by Rackham. First trade edition, first impression. This edition has one plate less than the deluxe edition, which included a plate at p. 178 entitled "He hurried away with long strides". With colour frontispiece and 12 plates in colour, 43 black and white illustrations in text. Signed limited edition, number 398 of 525 copies signed by the artist.
