Manuscrit seul (il manque malheureusement le deuxième volume accompagnant ce fac-similé, contenant le texte de commentaire de Franz Unterkircher, traduit de l'allemand par Brigitte Vergne et Dominique Miermont et accompagné de la transcription du texte latin avec une adaptation en français de Geneviève Lebaut et en néerlandais de Bab Westerveld) ; dos insolé, petite éraflure au premier plat, quelques frottements et menus incidents sur l'étui, par ailleurs bon état. Each measuring approximately 9¾" x 13¾". *Tacuinum Sanitatis in Medicina* fully reproduced in color, and the Commentary with a few pages of black and white plates. Faux leather (?) over boards; the Commentary is faux leather and paper over boards. Facsimile with a sunned spine and a bit of sunning on the front cover, Commentary with the spine discolored, the page edges a bit soiled and foxed, and the front endleaves with two thin, very light vertical stains, both volumes with very light wear including a couple of edge nicks, overall a very good set lacking the slipcase. (As the facsimile is reproduced down to the stains on the "irregularly" trimmed leaves, the sunning and discoloration on the binding look less like "wear" and more like "age" than it might on other volumes.) Commentary with an introduction and transcription by Franz Unterkircher, as well as a foreword by Josef Stummvoll. The commentary's preliminary text is in German, and the transcriptions are printed in Latin, German, and English, with translation by Franz Unterkircher, Heide Saxer, and Charles H. Talbot. Issued as Volume VI and VI* in the *Codices Selecti* series.
