Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. 4to hardcover volume in original boards and spine. Some edge wear but quite nice for a 1837 binding. Boards tight end papers not split a couple names in front. 2nd edition with 200 pages and 52 litho plates some folding. All plates are present but about half are loose. Presume they were removed at some point. Contents have lighter foxing than normally found. The last 6 pages have a small water spot on edge. A scarce volume.

Hardcover. Second Edition. Quarto, 198 pages. In Good condition. Rebound in contemporary marbled paper and leather with black label and gilt lettering to a banded spine. Boards show very light wear to covers and edges. Text block is slightly discolored with some rough edges (and other fore edge pages uncut), extensive foxing, and extensive age toning to some pages and plates. Previous owner note in pencil on front free end page "Chas. R. Whiteford, Baltimore Co. Almshouse, Texas, Balto. Co., Md, 1883." Ex-library copy with usual markings, including institutional stamps to several pages and call number written in ink. Plate 6 is opposite the title page; Plate 26 labeled Plate 27 and Plate 32 labeled Plate 34; remaining plates numbered chronologically. MF Consignment. 1355491. Special Collections.
