Top corner of front free endpaper trimmed away, pencil doodle. Top corner of frontispiece also trimmed away. A little spotting and rusting on first and last few pages. Engraved frontispieces. With the armorial bookplates of Edward Huth of Wykehurst Park (son of merchant banker and prominent bibliophile Henry Huth) on the front pastedown endpapers. Spines uniformly darkened, light wear to corner tips and edges (with the exception of one volume that shows heavier wear to upper corner tips), one volume does not have tissue paper on the frontispiece. With the small bookplate of Gerard Paxon on front paste-downs. The engravings are by Charles Grignion after drawings by Francis Hayman.
