Designed to promote the international sale of Soviet tobacco products in the postwar period. Aimed at foreign buyers and distributors, the book and booklet combines commercial purpose with striking visual flair: bold typography, stylised layouts, and vividly printed labels and packaging designs reflect the era's state-sponsored graphic modernism. An unusual and artful survival from the early Cold War years, offering insight into both Soviet aesthetics and trade ambitions. BOOK: Cream cloths boards with gilt lettering, attractive gold tobacco leaf relief. Some paper residue to bottom of front cover. Light spotting to endpapers with a pen price marking to ffep, internally clean otherwise. DJ: Jacket worn to extremities and rubbed throughout, nicked to spine ends with two small detached fragments, one at tail of spine and one to bottom of front cover, loose and held together by mylar wrap. Presents very well overall. With illustrated summary booklet inserted at rear of book.
