The infamous Ustasa was led by Ante Pavelic, appointed as Head of State after Hitler received and accepted Musollini's proposal to appoint Pavelic. The Ustasa, a Fascist/Nazi group, used the term "Za Dom", meaning "For Fatherland" in a similar way to "Heil Hitler". The Ustasa are known to have committed numerous atrocities against Serbs and Jews, frequently with active support from Catholic church leaders and the Vatican.
