Second issue of the fifth edition, printed by the Bowyer workshop and issued in three tranches - the first in 1728, the second in 1730 and the final group in 1738. The book was by this time something of an ancient classic - first published in 1698, it evoked answers from Congreve, Vanbrugh, Settle, Dennis and many others. Arnott & Robinson 289.
