Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. Octavo. vi, [2], 290, [2]pp., with a 24pp. publisher's catalogue (dated July, 1859) bound in at the back. Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece plate. In the original publisher's cloth stamped in blind, gilt spine, cream endpapers. Binder's ticket (Westleys & Co., London) on back pastedown. Spine is darkened and frayed at head and tail, back joint partially split, hinges are tender with front hinge partially split, else a good sound copy. Scarce in the original boards.

FIRST EDITION. Front., 24pp cata. (July, 1859). Small hole in leading f.e.p. Orig. purple pebble-grained cloth, blocked in blind, spine lettered in gilt; library label partially removed from front board, head & tail of spine chipped, rear hinge split but sound. Partially removed newspaper clipping & partial ink inscription on leading pastedown. Ink note on titlepage: 'Where is Trelawney's remembrances of Shelley & Byron? Worth all the rest'. Binder's ticket of Westleys & Co. on following pastedown. A good copy only.

First Edition, gilt cloth. Tall 8vo, c.pp300 uncut, with 24pp Smith Elder advts dated July 1859. Some slight wear, front free endpaper excised, overall a decent stout copy. Frontispiece [blank verso spotted] depicts Shelley's tomb. One of the most important contemporary accounts.
