Printed on both sides, the index is on the same side as the map, the reverse has a list of street names showing the old, pre-revolutionary and mostly euro-centric names with the new Chi…nese names in both English and Chinese characters. Rare. The only other version traced in U.K. libraries is a 1941 edition, also described as 'New Edition' held at Cambridge.

Issued by the Shanghai Joint Service Committee for Allied Forces and the War Area Service Corps. Not dated but from 1945 or early 1946, as the section on currency notes that Japanese occupation money would be legal tender until March 1946. In Near fine condition. A scarce survivor.
