Moderate wear to boards, with peeling and scuffing to leather. Rubbing and exposed board along edges and at fore corners. Significant rubbing along spine. Chipping along edges of label and at head of spine. Two small areas of worming on joints. Moderate toning, wear, and soiling along text block edges. Age toned and foxed throughout, with moderate soiling and heavier toning to pages near ends of the book. Handwritten label from former owner and faint ink scribbling on front endpaper. A very good copy, in old contemporary full leather binding which is considerable scraped and worn, but which contains the original spine label and which is solid and tight. Most pages are clean, although there is some light foxing here and there. There are three private ownership marks on the front endpapers, two signatures and a stamp. A nice copy.
