A comic writer who at one time was as widely known as Banjo Paterson, Henry Lawson and C J Dennis. His stories are told with robust humour and rollicking satire, with his characters Dad and Dave, Mother and Sarah, Dan and Grandpa immortalised in Australian folklore.
