Previously owned by F. T. Colby with bookplate to front pastedown, also with an ink inscription directed to 'The Rev. C Rev. J. G. Joyce; Sir John Maclean; Arthur Jewers; Rev. William Ince; Philip Massinger; Shrewsbury School and Various Publishers include: Bristol - Jefferies and Sons; Oxford - E. Baxter; Oxford and London - James Parker and Co; London - Longman, Brown, Green and Longmans. These are various extracts bound in one volume from different publishers, some with no publication details. Some pamphlets include extracts in Latin and Greek.
