From the factual accounts chronicled in this book, he was a brilliant and innovative strategist. Fall of 1943 found Ivan Lyon, with 13 men sailing a reconditioned junk 2,000 miles from Australia into Japanese waters where they changed to smaller boats and sank 7 enemy boats.
