Reginald lists this as fantasy because of the inclusion of the heroic fantasy novelette "True Thomas by Moonlight." The rest is reflective Romantist essays. Cabell defined it as part of a three-book set with the overall title "Their Lives and Letters" consisting of "These Restless Heads," "Special Delivery," and "Ladies and Gentlemen.".
