Cambridge, Mass., MIT Press, 1968, xxi, 215pp., very good dust-jacket, very good brown cloth, previous owner's blindstamp on front endpaper. Excellent foreword by Ackerman puts Frankl into context and outlines the book as well as his biography. O'Gorman explains the extent of his editing and rewriting in the interest of making the text comprehensible to English-language readers, but notes that scholars must return to the German original: "omitting anything (including most of his Introduction) that does not contribute directly to the development of his main argument; rearranging or rewriting his misplaced or badly stated passages where necessary; correcting his poorly edited text in the light of subsequent scholarship; eliminating all obsolete bibliographic references" etc.
