The first edition of this work. A scrace work. 'Practical Points' is a collection of notes by the English barrister Ralph Bradley. His notes refer to points of practice, and the technical details of conveyancing, as they were in the eighteenth century when he was practising. Bradley was well respected within the law community, being a contemporary of James Charles Booth, who was considered the patriarch of modern conveyancing. With critical notes added by Joseph Ritson, who had studied under Bradley. Ritson was an antiquary who devoted his spare time to literature, whilst practicing law for his career. He may be best known for his attack on 'History of English Poetry' by Thomas Warton. In the original paper wraps. Externally, smart. Light edgewear to the extremities, with light marking to the wraps, heavier to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with the occasional scattered spot and handling mark. Very Good. book.
