Cloth lightly marked and slightly rubbed at the extremities, with resultant minor loss of colour to the cloth; head of the spine very slightly snagged; an excellent copy. A comprehensive early monograph on the use of X-rays in medicine, published less than a decade after their discovery by Wilhelm Röntgen in 1895. It is divided into two parts, 'X-Ray Apparatus and its use in Diagnosis' and 'The Therapeutic Application of X-Rays'. The irregular pagination at the beginning of the book comprises a blank leaf and the title leaf (both unnumbered), followed by the first page of the list of contents, numbered 7.
