In den WarenkorbPaperback (No Dust Wrapper.). Zustand: Good. Condition Notes: A pleasant enough reading copy. Upper wrapper slighty curled with creasing to the corners. A somewhat scuffed and faded appearance overall. Text complete, clean and tight; Paperback; Measures 8¼" x 5¾" (0.3 kg); pp 160; Introductory chapters and glossary by Colin Elliott. Cover design and sketches by Peter Stuckey. "The Post Captain" is different and unique among sailing navy novels in being funny. It is almost certainly the only surviving contemporary humorous sea story of the Nelson period. It first made its appearance while England was still agog with the news of Trafalgar and Nelson not yet buried. || The book is on the shelf, ready to be appropriately packed, and posted from the pastoral paradise of Peasedown St. John, Bath, by a real bookseller in a real book shop - with my personal guarantee and beady eye on the Consumer Contracts Regulations. REMEMBER! Buying my copy means the book shop Jack Russells get their supper! My Book #150644 ||.
