Zustand: Very Good. Issued with bilingual Japanese and English caption printed in red beneath the image, consistent with export postcards produced for the early tourist and collector market. Visual inspection under magnification suggests collotype printing, typical of high-quality Japanese photographic postcards of the period. Unused. Moderate age-related handling wear, including soft corners and light surface wear, consistent with early twentieth-century postcard stock. An effective standalone example of sacred interior imagery, complementary to but separate from architectural temple-view groupings. Early twentieth-century photographic postcard depicting the Great Buddha (Daibutsu) at T?dai ji, one of Japan's most important Buddhist monuments. The image presents a frontal interior view of the monumental seated figure, emphasizing scale, symmetry, and the surrounding architectural framework of the hall. Dense structural detail and the Buddha's calm expression create a powerful devotional composition distinct from exterior temple views.

A strip bearing Christabel Pankhurst?s ink signature, cut from a larger document, laid down diagonally across the lower portion of the image. Overall very good.  A formal studio portrait of Christabel Pankhurst, leading figure of the Women's Social and Political Union and principal architect of its militant campaign in the years before the First World War. The postcard is a commercial issue produced at the height of the suffrage movement. The genuine signature, has been excised from a letter or document and later mounted onto the image. Very good.  Postcard portrait of Christabel Pankhurst, a central figure in the militant phase of the WSPU and one of the principal strategists of the suffrage campaign. Signed examples on photographic postcards are uncommon, the present example appears contemporary with her period of prominence before the First World War.  A desirable signed image of one of the leading figures of the suffrage movement.
