Agnew (1918-1996) was under investigation for Tax Fraud associated with brides he took while serving as Governor of Maryland. In a plea bargain, Agnew pled guilty to tax avoidance and was subsequently forced to resign his position as Vice President.

The gelatin silver postcard-format print (circa 1920s) is in fine condition. The unidentified location depicted is presumably in England, where the item was sourced. The British passion for dogs is taken to extremes in this instance, with the bulldog resting on its stomach and front paws on the operating table.
