In den WarenkorbFirst edition, first printing. Publisher's original navy cloth with silver titles to the spine, in the Bernard Wolff illustrated dustwrapper. Deckled fore-edge. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm, with a little bumping to the spine tips. The contents, with some offsetting to the inner hinges, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The text block is a little toned. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper, which has a small chip to the bottom edge of the rear panel, a small mark to the front panel, and just a touch of toning to the spine and folds. Not price-clipped ($3.95 to the upper front flap). The author's first collection of science fiction short stories. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request. Lucius Books welcomes direct contact with our customers.

1 vols. 8vo. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: dj. First edition. First edition. 1 vols. 8vo. The printed dedication reads: To Frederik Pohl - intrepid explorer of alien worlds. Inscribed by the author on the flyleaf, "to Fred Pohl, without whose generosity these epics would never have been recorded, Keith Laumer, San Antonio, May 6, 1965" Keith Laumer (1925-1993) was a prolific author of several interplanteray science fiction series, chief among them the "the adventures of interstellar diplomatic troubleshooter Jaime Retief on a variety of Alien worlds [.] Retief's unchanging role is to mediate between the residents of Alien worlds, some of them nefarious, and his bumbling superiors in the Terran Diplomatic Corps, and to solve various sticky problems, almost all couched in comic terms, sometimes amusingly" (SFE). The stories in Galactic Diplomat, some of Laumer' finest, were published in IF under the editorship of Frederik Pohl. An outstanding association. Brown cloth. Fine in fine dust jacket by Ellen Baskin. Faint internal stain to spine panelm otherwise a fresh copy in superior condition. Signed.
