In den WarenkorbZustand: Gut. 8th Printing. 185 S. Ein gutes und sauberes Exemplar. - Probably the one book that netsuke collectors throughout the world have searched for more avidly than any other is that by F. M. Jonas, published at Kobe, Japan, in 1928. Mr. Jonas was one of the pioneer Western collectors of netsuke and the first Westerner with the advantage of many years residence in Japan to publish a comprehensive book on the subject in English. And it still remains today one of the most important works on netsuke. The original edition, however, is excessively scarce. Apparently something under 300 copies were issued. As a matter of fact, we ourselves were unable to discover a single copy in Japan itself after a search of some fourteen years. It is due to the courtesy of : of the original publishers, Kegan Paul, Trench, Trübner and C Company, Ltd., of London, that we were at last able to secure the copy from which this reprint has been prepared.
