Family history of the old Cape family - original owners of the present day Vergelegen and Morgenstern. They are best known now for their vineyards, Rugby players (at least 2 Springbok captains and 11 for Western Province) and for founding Morkels Furniture store chain. Included are four sets of carbon-copied addenda. Marbled boards, cloth spine. The boards are a little scuffed, marked by handling and shelving. They are benign. The spine has a bit of sunning, but is otherwise healthy. Papertrims are foxed. Note that the text is on facing pages only. A very few early pages are loose against the binding. They are otherwise secure. The contents include original photographic prints. These are healthy, sound. The pages are clean, clear, congenial, assured, familially-comfortable. fk.
