Lester del Rey wrote many books in the juvenile Winston Science Fiction series. He first started publishing his stories in pulp magazine during the late 1930s at the dawn of the Golden Age of Science Fiction. del Rey and his work were also associated with the most prestigious science fiction magazine of the era Astounding Science Fiction. Moon of Mutiny is a juvenile science fiction novel and the final part of his Jim Stanley Series. this novel was preceded by Step to the Stars and Mission to the Moon. The novel is set mainly on the Moon and follows the adventures of Fred Halpern after he is expelled from the fictional Goddard Space Academy and tries to find his way back to space. In original blue cloth binding and held in original price clipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with some minor bumping to the head and tail of spine. dustwrapper is very smart with some bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Small tear to top of front wrap. Minor chipping to the head and tail of spine also. Wrap is slightly sunned with some age toning to the edges of the rear wrap. Dustwrapper is preserved in an acetate wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Fine. book.
