Bound from parts published in 1849, 1852, 1855, 1857 and 1861, with minor text and a single plate added in 1877 by Searles Wood, and consequently a rare complete copy. Bound in a period binding. The binding with touches of wear here and there, but otherwise sound. Internally, touches of toning or foxing, joints occasionally cracked but holding soundly, otherwise generally tight and clean. From the librray of geologist, Desmond Donovan, with his name in pencil to the front end paper.
