In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Incredibly scarce first edition of this 650 page collection of letters which illuminate the race crisis of the time through the eyes of a leading figuring in black history in the US. Bound in publishers original green cloth. Generally in excellent condition, held up well over the last 100 years ! B…inding is solid, sturdy, square - tight with some occasional give here and there, really solid. Interior is clean - pages age toned but fresh and with no marks except ownership signature on front free endpaper (a well regarded historian of Black Studies). A pages, about 5, have very lightly bent bottom corner tips. Boards clean and firm - the back panel has a small area that appears to be sticker residue, but its faint and clean. Two very small and neglible abrasions to the cloth at the joint of spine on the back panel. Teeny bump at the foredge of the front panel in the middle, small area of bubbling to cloth on front panel as well, but faint. Gilt lettering to spine slightly dulled but still bright and legible. Now in mylar - excellent overall copy of this very scarce book.
