A title in Hutchinson's Sports Library. A collection of essays on cricket, written by Prittie while he was being held as a prisoner of war in Germany during World War II. Among the essays: "My First Country Game", "Middlesex v. Lancashire, June 23-23, 1927", "J.W. Hearne", "Big Jim Smith", "Joe Hulme", "England v. Australia 1919-1939" and others.

More pronounced to endpapers, pastedowns and text block edges. Noticeable cracking to gutters. Binding remains firm. Pen inscription to front pastedown. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is dulled. Some fraying to cloth at spine ends.
