It plays on Cox's reflective typographical work with the letters of his name. It is likely dsh saw the reversal of Ken Cox's name in a spiritual way, reflecting Cox's "very personal kinetic use of letters and words", where his poetry machines "are parts and extensions of himself: they are gestures, partly, with which the classical rhetorician accompanies his speech, - but more than that, they are the mudras that constitute the communication of dancer and contemplative in the east". (dsh, 'Kenelm Cox', Times Obituary, November 1968). Original drawing by dsh in Sackner Archive, USA. Undated, circa 1969.
