Collated, lacking plate VIII, and lacking one folding tab to plate VI. Watercolourist, draughtsman, engraver and publisher John George Wood presents an instructional art manual explaining the theory and practical application of perspective in landscape and observational drawing. In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. With the inscription and bookplate of Frederick Leigh Colville to the front pastedown. The work sets out geometrical principles for representing space and objects accurately, and was intended to assist students in applying the rules of perspective while drawing the natural world.
