In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. Second American edition. 8vo. [4], 5-414, [2] pp. Maroon cloth with gold lettering on the spine. Price of $3.00 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Illustrated with a frontispiece drawing of Professor Pavlov, with three plates and three full-page illustrations, and with several charts. Translated from the Russian by W. Horsley Gantt, M.D. with the collaboration of G. Volborth, M.D. and with an introduction by Walter B. Cannon, M.D. Garrison-Morton 1440. Garrison-Morton assigns priority to the International Publishers Edition, and does not list the Liveright imprint. This is the first of the Liveright imprint, published just a few months after the International Publisher's imprint. Pavlov is remembered as one of the greatest physiologists and psychologists to ever have conducted research. His famous experiments resulted in the "Pavlovian Response" among other advances, in digestive science especially. A small address label on the front pastedown; jacket shows fading and a few traces of edge wear, including a small abrasion to the rear flap.
