The book is bound in cloth with the title from the original paper wraps pasted on the front board. It also contains the original price of the book, 'Four Shillings and Sixpence'. The previous owner's signature is present on the front pastedown: 'John Kennedy's Book, Cullingworth, April 22nd 1864'. Bound in cloth. Externally, smart with bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Title from original paper wraps to the front board. Previous owners signature and ink marks to the front pastedown and front free-endpaper. Internally, hinges slightly strained but firm. Internally, binding is generally firmly bound, with slight tenderness to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Small tidemark to right corner of the folding plate.
