Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. x+272, 12 figs inc.some plates; dated sig.of eminent historian of science R.M.Young top fr.free endpaper+his pencilled marking intermittently throughout, outer sides of endpapers browning, o/w internally clean, tight and no further marking; covers generally clean & minimally worn but pigment loss towards outer edges and further white marking (apparently paint) along lowers edges and outer bottom corner edges, sp.hardly affected however. Poynter not credited as editor in print but his name added in ink below title on t.p. Dark blue cloth cover condition inhibits me from rating it more than G, but an excellent working copy of this very interesting collection with contributions by eminent neurologists and historians, among them Penfield, Veith, Critchley, Russell Brain, Pagel Riese, Wightman, Ackernecht, Aubrey Lewis and Mary Brazier.
