First Faber and first hardbound edition of a book originally published by the Architectural Press in 1935. Royal octavo. 62 pages. Double page colour map at front; eight plates on cream paper. Numerous photographs, including on the endpapers. Spiral bound within cream cloth. Gazetteer largely compiled by Edith Olivier. Nature Notes by Lord Bolingbroke. At the end is an advert for Shell with a design by Edward Bawden.Head and tail of spine a bit tanned. Very good in very good, slightly rubbed and dusty dustwrapper with a fingernail-sized chip at head of spine. Scarce in the dustwrapper.
