First edition hard cover, with an unclipped, plastic coated dust jacket, both in very good condition for the age. Illustrated dust jacket, (replicated at the frontispiece) is vibrant and true. General shelf and handling wear, including notable tanning to dust jacket and rough cut pageblock, tanning leading into pastedowns and endpapers. The jacket has creasing, nicks, chips, several small closed tears, small open tear at spine foot and rear is almost entirely detached. Green cloth boards have embossed detail to front, gilt detail to spine. Light tanning to spine with minor creasing to spine head and foot, otherwise in great condition. Within, pages are tightly bound, content is unmarked. Punctuated throughout with G.E. Lee's B/W illustrations. CN.
