Paperback. Zustand: Very Good. `Bygones' has been one of the most popular programmes on Anglia Television for the past twenty years, and much of its success has been due to the personality of Dick Joice, its presenter. He brought to life the past of a largely rural community by using familiar and unfamiliar objects to explore the world of the people who used, made and collected them. Brought up the son of a tenant farmer in the agricultural depression, he was an entrepreneur from the moment he set up his own livestock corner in his father's farmyard. Farming was always his main interest, and now, with the pioneer years and successful development of Anglia television behind him, he has come full circle: back to aworld of farming where the advent of set-aside, following years of intense cultivation, brings memories of the thirties in which he started.
