Roosevelt and Alf Landon which reads "The First Step to Reduce National Debt is to Lighten Personal Debt : Follow President Roosevelt Forward." The Democratic National Committee forged a campaign that solidified a second term in office for FDR winning a landslide victory against Landon. An excellent example that captures the immediate zeitgeist of the political process during an integral part of American history.
