First edition, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "F. S. Flint from Richard Aldington" followed by a quotation in Greek, "but, old men, these are the small things of life". Frank Stuart Flint (1885-1960) was a poet and Aldington's fellow Imagist. This long poem expresses the trauma of the First World War and is often compared to The Waste Land. Octavo. Original green cloth, spine and front cover lettered in gilt, edges uncut. Tape sometime partially removed from front free endpaper. Cloth toned, spine faded, extremities bumped and a little worn, foxing to contents: a very good copy.

First Edition. End-papers a little darkened, otherwise a very nice copy in somewhat darkened and soiled dust-wrapper for the limited edition.
